Guy Johnson made sure that we would get together during the MHS 2016 reunion. He brought his favorite dog Mittens to the motel and we sat outside with Sassy Sue (German Shepherd mix). Christina was there too - and enjoyed Guy's tour of Europe, with a special love for Germany.
I thought sweet little Mittens was a lot of fun, so she expected 100% attention from me. That was fun, but Sassy did not want to share. Mittens turned into a viper when Sassy approached the two of us and tried to chase Sassy away.
Sassy felt left out, so Guy adopted her for petting the rest of our time. Instead of being sad, Sassy proudly sat next to Guy for constant petting. That was the only time the two dogs met, but it was also the last time we saw Guy. Those moments and time are priceless.
